Samoan film maker Christina Tung was 1 of 3 people in Australia chosen to be a 'Youtube Creators for Change' 2019/20 ambassador.
She shares this project she made in partnership with them and with the support of UNDP Asia-Pacific.
She says "I used this opportunity to create a film that would be uplifting for our community and bring a sense of self confidence and self love. My goal was that it would also go beyond our community and resonate with anybody that feels this way, to also feel confident about who they are."
YouTube Creators for Change is an ongoing global initiative that spotlights inspirational Creators who use YouTube to foster productive conversations around tough issues and make a positive impact on the world.
As part of their commitment to the program, Creators for Change Ambassadors and Fellows receive mentorship and promotional support to aid the creation of their Impact Projects—films that tackle a wide range of topics, from self-acceptance and showing kindness to others, to celebrating cultures and advocating for global empathy.
